ComVec 2020 - solutions for the new decade

ComVec has long been considered the heavy vehicle industry's leading engineering forum for its comprehensive coverage of major technical issues led by the best in the industry.

This year there is another audience joining us - your customers. What's in it for them?

Road transport operators will be heading to ComVec 2020 to talk about the opportunities and challenges to prepare their heavy vehicle fleets into the next decade and beyond.

We'll talk about the latest innovations in trucking and the value proposition for themWe'll address the economic imperative: why it makes good business sense to turn the fleet over sooner.

And we'll cover setting up a transport business to reap the benefits of an updated fleet - eliminating huge amounts of downtime.

The Australian heavy vehicle market still offers an incredible amount of opportunity for customisation. We'll talk about ensuring a new vehicle is perfectly specified for its role.

The final day is a drive-day where delegates can get into the driver’s seat in the latest vehicles, on a closed test track, in a variety of modular combinations.

ComVec 2020 runs from Wednesday 13 - Friday 15 May at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast.

Industry's compliance costs need oversight

Bewildered is how you might initially think restoration project manager, HVIA's Noelene Bradley, Geoff Tillett (TAFE Queensland SkillsTech) and Graham Lockie (Dulux) look.

Quite the contrary - they are actually really stoked with how straight the Thornycroft donor vehicle chassis is.

Graham is also pointing out some forensic techniques to work out the paint colours that have been applied over many years.
